I need to run a program which requires libXm.so.2. I have installed the latest openmotif-2.2.3-2.i386.rpm, however, all I can find is libXm.so.1.0.2 and libXm.so.3.0.2
I am running RH9 and RHWS3.
A friend of mine who's running RHWS2.1 sent me an email saying that libXm.so.2 belongs to openmotif-2.1.30-11, which is much older than 2.2.3.
Is libXm.so.2 removed from the package?

Your friend is exactly correct. libXm.so.2 belongs to OpenMotif 2.1.30. And if your application requests so.2, you need to get it. Whenever I need an RPM I can't find, I look for it www.rpmfind.net. A great resource!
BTW: Red Hat has been shipping OM2.1.30 as a compatibility library. You might check your distro disks.
