perhaps impossible.I can't display Simple Chinese in a Text Widget, nor menu text, button text ...
But all work well at Unix (SunOS, Tru64...)

I try port Unix app to Linux, now i can't handle local text!
Anyone can help me?(alin_first@sina.com) Thanks a lot.
Just pure English text, my clients must hit me!

You can draw Chinese characters on TextWidget

You can draw Chinese characters on TextWidget.
If you use compount string, you can display CJK.
