I am using the current cvs version of OpenMotif on my Linux box (2.4.18,XFree 4.2).
Using my favourite editor NEdit (which uses the motif libraries)
the PgUp/PgDn buttons initially work as expected.
But after some time (after the start of some application) these keys work
differently like to start /end of line.
I have been using this NEdit source with the motif library on a SGI workstation
as well as with Lesstif on the same Linux box. There I have never encountered this
problem.
What could be the reason for that?
Thanks for a hint,

Hi,
I`m not too deep in development.
Obviously, it could be some kind of "hole". But have you tried the simpler things first?
For anyone to help you I think you need to be more specific about exactly which "widget" or element of what program you are having the problem with. And maybe a little more system information.
For example, does it do this in *all* programs that are opened on the desktop at once?
Have you used "xmodmap" to change your keystroke assignments?
Try using xmodmap to "reset" the key bindings and xrdb reload.
The setting should then be restored.
Do you switch language environments?
Do you have a US keyboard?
Does your X11 config file change the keyboard layout?
Are you running any other versions of Motif? Lessitff?
GOODness. Tell me you aren`t using "mixed libraries". (ie, some are from lesstiff, some from motif).
;)
Hope that helps,
john
