I have the following problem, that is
My application has got menus and popups. When the applicaton
modal popup just came up and I clikced on the menu item, *just*
before the popup came. The whole screen along with the application hanged with the following error message on the console
" Xlib async reply error "
I am running my application on RedHat 7.1 and exported the
display to a IRIX 6.3 workstations. Please help me in this
regard and how to avoid this problem. My e-mail id is

It most often comes from bad signal handling or bad thread handling.

We are not using any threads or signal handlers (no signal
handlers when the pop up is displayed) we suspect that we
might be introducing two sequences when we click the menu,
we checked the FAQ`s suggested by you, but does not contain
the information we are looking for.
