Does ANYONE know if it is possible to make the DELETE key work in MOtif 2.1 the same way as it was in 1.2? My problem is deleting a highlighted selection in a text widget window. To my surprise, this thing works in a text field widget! Try the following Highlight part of your text in a text widget + press DELETE. Nothing happens.... Used to work in Motif 1.2. Try the same experiment using text field widget. DELETE works here in both versions of Motif.

Hi,
This is question is more of a `general section` question - as it doesn`t require recompiling or coding.
I just wen`t through something similar.
Did you check up / read up on your $HOME/.Xmodmap recently? Maybe all you need to do is insure xmodmap has the key mapped to what it [was] mapped to.
Did you Change unix versions recently? Change your $HOME/.xinit recently?
Try this
user@there xmodmap -pm -pk | less
(see what del is defined as)
See where your xmodmap is system default or $HOME. See that its getting loaded at .xinit (after login) time. Or? Just set it after loging.
