Can space be an accelerator?

Again, my "play" button (thanks for XmStringCreate hint, using XmStringCreateLocalized, for it`s easier)- would like the playback callbacks to be triggered by space- but seems either I`m doing something wrong, or spacebar can`t be an accelerator

I wouldn`t argue with experimental evidence, but I don`t see why this wouldn`t work. Are you using "Space" as the binding?

Yes I do, but though, space still "activates" (call it pressing or whatever) last active widget, and does not trigger my play button at all.

Any suggestions about a "hard" way?
