Tools for testing a X/motif GUI on unix

Hi,
Are there any tools available for testing the functionalities of a X/Motif GUI on unix platform. .
I have to write automated testcases for testing the functionalities of a X/Motif GUI on Unix.
For that please suggest me if there any test tools available for this..

There used to be a whole bunch of these, and then they sort of faded away. I fear that, unfortunately, there were too *few* companies interested in testing their software to support the real tools needed for the job.

Some people have made solutions with the TEST and RECORD extensions. Some people use a tcl-based solution. Motif, internally, has a test suite which automates testing.

And there are some companies that do and may still be producing test harnesses. One that springs to mind is Segue Software, if I recall the name correctly; it was last located around Needham, MA.
