More info about build fail on Debian Potato

Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 06/03/2002 - 19:37. General Questions
Hi admin, and thanks for your interest.

First, I tryed the "configure" way which is more comfortable to me than "imake" on which I have no experience.

My compiler is GNU gcc 2.95.2.

The build fail in the directory "demos/programs/airpot" or "demos/programs/animate", I don`t recall exaclty, with the message "no rule to make taget `xxx`".

I didn`t try to compile again to find the _exact_ error because it would take to much time. But, if the informations presented above are not enough, just tell me and I will compile again.

Bad damian, posting as admin!
Your best bet would be to edit the top Makefile. Delete "demo" from the "SUBDIRS=" line.
If you got as far as the demos, the library compiled fine. The demos are just small sample programs not needed to actually run open motif.
Hope this helps
