Changing value of XmFONTLIST_DEFAULT_TAG

Is there a way to change what the default font/fontlist will be when creating an XmString using XmFONTLIST_DEFAULT_TAG? I know I can add my own fonts etc., but we are attempting to change the look of everything already in the system created with XmFONTLIST_DEFAULT_TAG.

Any suggestions?
